We’re looking for a Collision Body Technician to join our team. As a Collision Body Technician, you will perform vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with factory standards. Your attention to detail makes you a valuable asset to the team as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top-notch work to our customers.

Position Overview:

  • Evaluate and Complete collision repairs on Class 8 Tractors
  • Responsible for generating estimates for collision damage
  • Adherence to Company Policy’s and standards
  • Complete Start to End Collision repair including:
    • Repair and replace structural components, Repair and Replacement of Damaged panels, Welding, Filler work, Finishing and Panel Alignment. Involvement in the estimate and repair plan process to ensure all damage is accounted for, Adherence to Vehicle Manufactures Guidelines and Standards, Use of Mitchell ensure proper repair procedures and times are met. Reliable, Hardworking, Attention to detail, Self-motivated and willing to work with and train lesser experienced technicians.

Job responsibilities

  • Assessing vehicle condition to determine if additional safety or repair work is needed.
  • Accurately Completing assessments and repair estimates with estimated time to complete
  • Communicating with Management and parts associates regarding Estimates, ordering necessary parts and repair status.
  • Performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Performing all body repairs on various materials such as Metal, plastic, composite and fiberglass
  • Mixing of chemicals according to manufacturer directions/specifications.
  • Operating all equipment in the Collision Center in a safe and productive manner, following Safety Standards for the use of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) while working on the production floor.
  • Inspecting all work performed as a Quality Control (QC) measure as soon as jobs are completed.
  • Understanding and following federal, state, and local regulations that affect Collision Center operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc.
  • Gaining superior product knowledge to provide high quality repairs.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
  • Follow all company safety procedures

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $30+ based on experience.
